What is a Community Celtic Session?
Community Celtic Sessions are designed for those of all ages, levels and instruments to meet and play traditional celtic music or any requested music together.
My hope for these sessions is to provide a safe environment for anyone hoping to learn and play celtic music. You can be a beginner or an advanced player and take advantage of this opportunity to just play and experiment with your instrument.
Although I specialize in violin/fiddle, I am excited by the idea of other instruments coming out to play. I hope to be able to aid players in learning tunes by ear or sheet music, as well as arranging sets and medleys, working on harmony parts and adding ornamentations to pieces. As a community session, there will be opportunity to learn from each other and to meet other musicians in our neighbourhood.
Classes will meet biweekly at Siloam United Church & Online through ZOOM.
