The Seasons of Growth

We are not robots.

We are not machines.

And yet we expect perfection and for things to stay the same.

We are a part of nature.

Nature is constantly changing, growing and flowing with the seasons.

Yet we fight this state of being every step of the way.

What if we just went with it?

What if instead of sitting in the worry of the unknown as parents, of watching our kids grow older in front of our eyes and feeling time race by us, that we embrace this as normal?

We know it's normal, but have we really embraced it?

Have we allowed it to not rule our lives?

What if we didn't diminish the fear and the overwhelm, but basked in the knowledge that this is the way it's suppose to be?

These are the bumps in the road or the crux of the climb.

We are suppose to struggle.

And it's okay.

We are suppose to feel unsure and insecure.

And it's okay.

Because we also have the strength to persevere and over come and ride the waves of change and the constant rotation of the seasons and times of growth.

If we need to fall apart, we give ourselves permission to fall apart and feel everything we need to feel.

We find strength from our roots and past experiences and lean on those that mean the most to us.

We support those in our community and give them the permission to feel what they need to feel.

We let our kids feel what they need to feel without judgement, because they are human too.

We do this because we all know another season is just around the corner.

Nothing is permanent.

If we don't start living through the seasons of change, we will miss them altogether.
